9 HR, 24 RBI, 21:26 BB:K, .274/.402/.589

These were the kind of numbers I was expecting when we signed him...

He had a monster month. It's too bad this guy didn't show up two years ago. If he hit like this last season we make the playoffs. It does seem like the old Dunn is back. Its probably too little too late to make his free agent signing redeemable, but it would be nice if he could keep this going for the next few months. I doubt we can get anything from a good June, but a good 4 months will do a lot for his value.

Don't mean to be a dark cloud, but he'll disappoint again.

The Orioles. They got rid of Mark Reynolds and could really use someone with his talent for the stretch run. Look where it got them last year. Whaddya say Ricky!

He only does well when there's no pressure.

If he can pull off a couple weeks of hot hitting we might get a nibble from someone desperate. That's a pretty big if though.

All we'll get is salary relief. Doesn't do much for me as a fan. We have to play somebody.

And the team had its worst month (8-19) since August 2007 (9-20). I'd like to think this is a coincidence, but we're talking about a guy who's had outstanding years for teams way under .500.

Well that's got as much to do with the players around him as anything else. This Sox team is bad...

Seriously, people think that Dunn only hit well for the first 9 years of his career because the teams he was on just happened to be bad to mediocre? If he only hit well for bad teams then he should have been knocking the cover off the ball every season with the Sox.
