Man, I remember back when there were rumors that the Sox were trying to trade Dye for him. I so wanted that to happen. He's really settled in and become a heck of a pitcher.

I was just talking to my brother about that, my recollection is that Williams decided not to pull the trigger but my brother seems to recall that the Reds decided not to do it. I remember it being discussed on the message board here and most people were against it, Bailey had a 7 something ERA in 2008 and Dye was coming off of a great year.

I think that was it - Dye for Bailey as the main pieces. I believe they pulled back.

I remember when perfect games and no hitters were something that never happened....now we get one or two or 5 a year.

This is the longest we've gone into a season without one since 2006, though.
