Anyone else going? I bought tickets the instant it was announced.

Still no pitching matchups announced, but it's speculated that Erik Johnson might get called up for the Sox, and Trevor Bauer for the Tribe.

Anyone been to a straight DH at the Cell? How do alchohol sales work? Is there a last call during the first game at all?

I'm probably going to eat a lot...order of nachos and one of the amazing gluten free deli sandwiches. :D:

Yeah, the Sox are awful, but it's a goddamn straight doubleheader. Really looking forward to it.

when was the last time the Sox played in a "straight" doubleheader at home?

Thinking about it. I got a $25 Sox gift card for my birthday that I haven't used yet; haven't been to a game this season. That can be used for Comiskey cash, right?

And it's Mullet Night!

Although I doubt it, maybe Kaner and Saad will show up.

I assume that the parade is the reason why this is not a day-night doubleheader.

I'm torn. I'm coming into town for a few days and - for the first time in years - *could* make a game. But I fear the parade crowd may want to keep celebrating at the park, and I'm getting too old for that stuff.

Pretty sure this was scheduled before the parade was.

My dad thought Mullet night was referring to the fish. He's been a Sox fan since like 1906 and this is the first he heard of mullet night or a haircut called a mullet. I don't even know how that's possible.

Jose Quintana and Hector Santiago on the bump for the doubleheader against the Indians, although Ventura hasn't decided who will pitch Game 1.

He has. Santiago, then Quintana.

Trevor Bauer and Carlos Carrasco are getting called up for Cleveland.

Do the gates still open 1.5 hours before first pitch for the 4:10 game? I remember attending a twinight doubleheader when they opened the gates 30 minutes before the game.

Lots of drunk Hawks fans heading to the parade on the Rock Island train that arrived downtown at 7:30AM. A bunch of them on my train car were talking about heading to the doubleheader because of the $15 deal. There could be some trouble in the stands/concourse during the first game.

Ha Ha .. the same with me .. when i first heard of "Muller Night" all i could think of was the bait fish that we caught in the shallows to use offshore for marlin, sword, and sailfish..

I was at the first game and just got back. I didn't see any trouble or Sox Security interventions. The only trouble was our pitching and fielding.

I decided against going today, as I was at the parade and nursing a bit of a cold, and figured for my first Sox game of the year I might as well pick a game where I can see one good team.

Anybody who actually made it through this entire day of awful, awful baseball should get their money back

This was almost as bad as that doubleheader against either Boston or Minnesota back in 2007.

I'll just say that it wasn't as fun as I had hoped it would be.

Didn't see any drunks but also didn't see any vendors in the stands during the first game - which is a whole different rant.
