LHP Chris Sale is going to be scratched from tmrw's start as a precautionary measure w/minor tendinitis in posterior left shoulder.

Hopefully this doesn't turn into something more.

Do they make him the closer now?

Santiago pitching tomorrow with Danks supposedly taking his turn on Friday vs. Miami

Wasn't it exactly at this point last year where he felt something and the whole closer ordeal came about? Strange.

Hope that everything they are saying is true and he just needs a little rest.

I was skeptical when they said Peavy just needed to miss one start but they were telling the truth.

What's funny about that?

The comment was in reference to Wedema's one liner about now making him the closer. Not the injury itself...thought that was pretty obvious.

Oh. I guess that's why they make the "quote" function.

Sale was furious about being scratched. He thinks he can pitch. I don't think the injury is serious. They are just being overly cautious because, well, Chris is the present and future ace of this team.

Especially considering Danks will be back probably this weekend, really no reason not to be cautious.

Taylor:

Or you could know this by the fact that my post was exactly behind Wedema's.

That doesn't always help because we're not sure if you're just referring to the thread as a whole (which is what most first posts are that are unquoted)

"mild case of tendinitis in his left posterior shoulder," the White Sox told reporters Tuesday (including Scott Merkin (https://twitter.com/scottmerkin/status/337001865449451520)).

http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-on-baseball/22279049/chris-sale-to-miss-wednesday-start-due-to-shoulder-tendinitis

"Just not being able to do the things I wanted to do between days, like throw a side session, throw long toss, things of that sort," Sale said. "I had to change my in-week regimen around it."
