I like that kid.

Short notice because of Peavy, gets moved up a day...expected to pitch against K.C. and he holds down a good Texas team.

Jeff Torborg told me last year the kid had a lot of guts and good stuff. Hope he stays in the rotation regardless of what happens with Floyd.

2-0 in May. April is in the rear view mirror.

The M*A*S*H unit gets 2 out of 3 in Texas, after limping in off 2 straight thumpings by the Rays.

Never thought I'd see that, especially holding the Rangers to 3 runs in 2 games.

Our pitching is terrific. It's the savior of whatever this team will do this season. Santiago was really sharp. And at least these hitters hit them out when they hit them.

I'll be shocked if he's not in the rotation later this year or at the latest next.

Reed with 10 saves in the 12 Sox victories through 27 games. He's on pace for 60 saves :redneck

One swing of the bat doesn't really redeem this team, but its nice to win.

Of course there's a glimmer a hope right before 2013's first death march through KC.

Sox win a series in Texas. I'll take it and be happy...for the night.

AJ lays a goose egg including a K in the 9th after throwing a temper tantrum last night, Flowers drives in all 3 Sox runs, Sox win the series from Texas...

Sometimes the universe just gets it right...

Santiago was able to grab strikes with his breaking ball. When that's the case, he's pretty tough.

Did AJ stare down Reed after that strikeout?

Sure looked like that along with some chirping.

I love A.J., but he was always a fake tough guy. He and Kevin Garnett are both first ballot entries into the Fake Tough Guy Hall of Fame.

I would assume AJ had the ****head factor cranked all the way to ultra-Pierzynski for the series knowing that everything he did would be overanalyzed by people in Chicago.

Yes he did. I think it might have been amazement that Addison doubled him up with two straight excellent changeups....AJ had no chance.

Hector Santiago is one of my favorite Sox players, period.
I will always root hard for him to succeed, and I think he will.
I know talent is necessary but this kid also has the character to rise to the top.
After I read about his unprompted, spontaneous trip up to ,Newtown Ct.,after the shooting up there, to just try to do what he could, and how he was brought into the school and he spoke to the children about his own background and how to persevere in tough situations, and how the kids all became instant Sox fans due to his warmth and personality....

It touched my heart. He is a very good guy. Way to go Hector..sometimes good things do happen to good people.

Great Take on the two. Totally agree.
