he would be a great addition imo..but i dont think we will be adding any payroll so its gonna be hard to get anyone good

Our track record on pursuing veteran starters is less than exemplary: McKaskill, Navarro, Ritchie. Now Colon on paper is better than any of those 3. Yet, I'd still have to say NO!

Colon's availability will largely depend upon the fate of the Expos franchise. In any event, the Expos had to give up some serious prospects to get him and, since he is under contract for a few more years, I doubt they'd give him up or cheap. My guess is it would take either Crede or Borchard plus either Rauch, Garland, Wright, or Malone. Ain't gonna happen. Plus, until this year, Colon had never lived up to his potential. He clearly does not take good care of himself, and I for one wouldn't be surprised if he quickly fades into mediocrity. I wouldn't be interested.
