Just a quick question, does the cell have lockers? I decided to go to the game this afternoon, but will have my laptop bag. Is there an area that has lockers so I do not have to carry it the entire game? Hell, can I even bring in a laptop bag?

...and they do. Just checked the Sox website a bit more thoroughly...just in case anyone cares:

BAG CHECK FACILITY
For any items that are too large to be carried into U.S. Cellular Field, guests may use the independent bag check facility located outside of Gate 5 in between parking lots A and B. There is a $2 fee per bag and the facility closes 30 minutes following the end of the game.

The Cell has wi-fi so I don't think bringing in a laptop bag would be a problem.

If I were you, I would not hand over my laptop to someone else. I'm sure in the small print on the bag check receipt its says they aren't responsible for anything.

In fact the Sox are already distancing themselves from it by saying 'independent bag check facility'.

Thanks! In that case I will carry it.

I took in my whole work bag. No one next to me so it had it's own seat. They checked it, of course.

I wouldn't leave anything with an "independent" either.

Is there something to getting on the WiFi there? Last time I tried last year, it was some crappy page that wanted me to pay or be a guest and never seemed to work. Seemed like every time I tried to get on from my phone between innings I had to go through the whole process of joining it again.

The "independent bag check facility" is a souvenir vendor. We were given the run around looking for the "facility" since no one had any idea where or what it was. A security guard eventually talked to someone who knew which vendor it was. It was sizeable luggage so we had no choice.

They do in fact have lockers, very nice ones too, for both the home team and visiting teams.

It works fine, you just have to reload it every couple innings. Minor hassle for free, quality wifi.

I have been checking my bags with that independent vendor for a decade, including valuable items such as laptops. I have never had anything but safe and quality service.

Used to be outside Gate 5. Now they're outside the main gate.
