View Full Version : Toronto on get away day

As usual Sox have to play a night game on get away day coming up in Toronto. My question is does Toronto still have a law on no flights after a certain hour?

So what if the game goes into extra innings and they can't fly out of Toronto?
I imagine they would have to bus to Buffalo and get into Chicago for breakfast.
Why does MLB allow this, why take a chance and just play a day game.
I guess that makes too much sense.
Even if the law is off the books I hate night games on get away day.

EDIT: Just found out the law is no flights from 12:30 am to 6:00 am.
We would most likely be OK as long as the game did not go 15 innings or more.

I agree with you Nell. Unfortunately MLB apparently doesn't give a damn or they wouldn't allow these things to happen.

Certain teams always do this, and not just for the big teams. The Orioles and the Angels are two of the worst offenders.

Under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, there will be a day away game if travel time for either team to the next city is greater than 1 1/2 hrs and the next game is a day game.

Yup. MLB doesn't give two shakes. 1 PM start on the east coast after a night game in LA. **** you. Suck it up Nancy's.

Of course, if the Yankees had to play LA then turn around and play Boston then WOAH!. We need a day off here.
