Gordon Beckham day-to-day with nerve irritation in his left wrist. No structural damage was found in an X-ray, but Beckham hasn’t had an MRI exam.

Jeff Keppinger is expected to shift to 2nd and Conor Gillaspie at 3rd.

Beckham hopes to be back by Friday but he won't even pick up a bat until Friday so that sounds like a pretty quick recovery

Wrist injuries are tricky and sometimes take eons to heal. I hit a tree root playing golf over 20 years ago and it took 18 months before I was 100%.

I think we should strap it down for an extended absence from Beckham.

I'll concur on this item. Anything in the hand/finger/wrist area is iffy at best. I had the bad luck to dislocate a thumb in my youth and it was a good six months before I had any strength in that hand (I couldn't even pick up a can of pop while it was healing it was that tender.)

Hoping for the best with Gordon but I won't be shocked it the news ends up bad.
