Cora & Floyd to Work as Analysts (http://blog.timesunion.com/sportsmedia/floyd-cora-join-mlb-network-as-analysts/12305/)

Here was my favorite part of the article:

Cora and Floyd join former major leaguers Larry Bowa, Eric Byrnes, Sean Casey, Darryl Hamilton, John Hart, Jim Kaat, Al Leiter, Mike Lowell, Joe Magrane, Jerry Manuel, Kevin Millar, Dan Plesac, Harold Reynolds, Billy Ripken, John Smoltz, Dave Valle and Mitch Williams as analysts at MLB Network.

I have a hard time picturing Manuel analyzing anything.

Manuel is quite possibly the worst analyst they have. He's only on once or twice a year and he is just AWFUL. It's hard to imagine that he managed not just one but TWO different teams. But then you remember that those teams were the White Sox and the Mets, two of the most dysfunctional front offices in baseball.

I usually gave Jerry the benefit of the doubt, even after getting swept in 2000 but in 2003 he totally lost me. That team was good, had depth, made some good late season trades but they had such a horrible first half, came back and then choked at the end. Adios.
