Remember when he was the most dominant pitcher in the game?

The 1-0 game in late 2005 where Garcia threw the 1-hitter and lost was one of the most intense games I've ever listened to on the radio. What a duel.

In the last two months of the season that year, he made 4 starts against the Sox and did the following:

3-0, 33.1 IP, 2 R, 17 H, 5 BB, 33 K.

Filthy. You won't find many guys who were ever as dominant as Johan was in the mid-2000's.

His last start was a no-decision I was at: the game that cut our lead on Cleveland to 1 1/2 games. The winning pitcher? Jesse Crain. One of the few games I've left before the final out.

Remember the bidding war for this guy after the 2007 season? Everyone knew the Twins were going to trade him. Speculation was that the Yankees or Red Sox would make a run. Its amazing. He did well in 2008 bit never lived up to the new contract after the Mets signed him. Of course, the prospects mostly busted too.

That capsule issue is the same one John Danks is dealing with. :(:
