Hector seems like a real great guy. I met him at Bridges Scoreboard in Griffith last year during an appearance. He signed anything you wanted him to, asked where you wanted it signed, asked what color sharpie to use, shook your hand, and then asked if you wanted to take a picture with him. I also saw him, Nate Jones, and Addison Reed signing almost daily at the ballpark last year.

Nicely done, Hector! You're a first-class role model!:clap::tiphat:

And thanks for providing a bump in White Sox fandom!:smile:

Thome is a nice guy but maybe Santiago is nicer.

And I like the reference in the article to the song Bad bad Leroy Brown. That should be the team song for 2013. 40 year anniversary of the song. Have to change the lyrics a little bit at the end. Lol.

Phenomenal article. True class. My only fear though after reading that is the $30,000 in tickets he gave away? C'mon now take care of your family and you first now.

We also need to have a talk about that cowboy answer...

What a great story! A guy who shows such kindness to a community and to children that are obviously hurting is first rate. Great job Hector!
