The Chicago Cubs (as per The Tribune Website). He accepted. The legend continues.

Who is slated to start in center for the Cubs? Or right? Is it still Campana and DeJesus? If so, Lillibridge might get a LOT of starting time for the Cubs next year.

Although I hate that he had to sign with the Cubs, I wish him all of the best. Go gettem Beast!

I'm gonna save myself some time and right now type up a new thread titled "Lillibridge Released by Cubs' so in 2 months all I have to do is click 'Submit'

There's the missing piece that'll land the Cubs in the Fall Classic!

May he hits many a basket home run in that park.

Good luck to him, except against the Sox. I always had a soft spot for the kid for some reason. He always tried at least.

Good for him. I hope that he's the CF or RF for the Cubs all year.

Wrigley looks so small. It is small. Thus the Bridge boy will be swinging for the fences and striking out more.

Cubs want our ex-players like Edwin Jackson and Bridge. I hope that they get Santos next.

They roughly have the same dimensions.

I feel the same way. I have a sneaky feeling he'll haunt the Sox in the Crosstown games but other than those few games, best wishes to LilliHammer

I have a sneaky feeling he'll be released by that point.

Well played! I see what you're saying and that may very well prove to be. I just do not wish that on him. Just the opposite, I wish Lillibridge a successful run with the Cubs and beyond.

That's quite untrue because you wish everyone failure with the Cubs. It's fine, I understand it. But don't pretend you wish any Cub success because you don't.

I made a direct statement about Lillibridge, wishing him well. I have made similar statements, such as when Neal Cotts went over to the Cubbies. In addition to that there have been and there are currently other individual Cubbie players - ones with no connection to the Sox - that I hope do well.

I don't root, root, root for the Cubbies as a team. If you wish to, fine. However I think it's certainly possible to while not being a fan of the team to wish individual players to do well.

I stand by my statement about Brent Lillibridge. Thanks for pretty much calling me a liar though.
