Sox sign pitcher Jeff Gray to a minor league deal with an invite to spring training. Gray appeared in 6 games for the Sox in 2011 before being claimed off waivers by Seattle. Last year, he appeared in 49 games out of the the Twins bullpen but had a ERA close to 6.

'A contact pitcher with questionable command.' That's not promising, but this is a depth signing, hopefully it stays that way.

Guess Kannapolis really needed a third-string 3B.

Jeff Gray fills the Brian Bruney role as the 17th pitcher on a 12 man staff.
