I agree that Josh Paul is not a good catcher. But neither is Mark Johnson - he can't hit a lick and his defense has been disappointing this year, too. Catcher, SS and CF all worry me significantly (unless Borchard can play CF, but I haven't really heard anyone "in the know" chime in on that issue) going forward (as wel as starting pitching). I sure as hell hope that all of this salary is being dumped so we can re-tool next year using that $ to lock Paulie up and find someone to plug the holes at those positions.

Why are you sad to see alomar go, he was worthless his entire time with the sox, he just held back guys like paul and maybe even olivo from getting a good chance, and i do agree with you on the second part. MJ should not be playing!!
