Awhile ago I did a survey for the Sox and as a thank you I just got an email saying thank you by giving me code for two complimentary lower deck tickets. Pretty sweet, I already redeemed it, for the 28th. :D:

Anyone else get the email?
Kudos White Sox.

I hope the park is full next week.

The one year I don't do the damn fan survey...

EDIT: can we start a campaign for next year's survey built around the "less 'in-game entertainment'" platform?

I didn't do a survey at a game, but I did do a couple of those surveys they advertise during the games on TV.

Yeah, I got this e-mail earlier. Can't decide which game to go to; can't do the 25th or 26th.

That's what I did. I can't remember when I did it, but getting the e-mail today was a pleasant surprise. I was going to the Sat and Sun Tampa games anyway, so I picked up Friday night tickets as well.

What seats did people get? I'm looking at friday now and basically the whole OF is available (though, oddly, not anywhere else, even the UD).

I got it, too. Unfortunately, living in the northwest suburbs, the only game I might be able to attend would be Friday's.

Yes! Got lower box down the left field line for Friday night!

Thanks, Brooks!

154/155?

154/155?
yeah, it seems the tickets are the outfield and the corners. I didn't get any yet, waiting for my DH to come home later to discuss what we want to do.

155. Row 16.

What survey did you guys fill out? I've done the online one a bunch of times this year and haven't heard anything.

I'm pretty sure I got an email from the Sox asking me to take the survey.

Behind the bullpen for Friday night. Can't pass on free tickets! :D:

I tried getting 2 right near the Sox bullpen, but it wouldn't let me leave 1 seat open (there were a number of seats available 3 in a row). Instead I picked seats in the RF bleachers.

Got 155 as well on Friday night - although my DH already told me that because we're already going to other games that week, he wants the right to back out if it's not a potential clincher.

We'll see about that. :D:

I got one too. My GF wanted to go to "NIU Day" so Thursday it is! I had a ticket already (UD, 531, Row 9, Seat 1) which for UD (and $1) was pretty sweet.

If anyone needs a ticket that day, message me.

Oh and we are in 157, row 12. Wanted row 11, but no, can't leave a single seat.

Yeah, the whole outfield was WIDE open.

I'm going on the 28th with my dad, i hope it's clinch day though I am certain I will never be that lucky.
For that to happen the white sox would have to go in some ridiculous hot streak and the tigers would have to implode. That's trying to gain 12 games off the magic number in 8 days. Love the sox, but not happening.

I wonder how many complimentary tickets they've given out? These don't count in paid attendance since they're comps, right? So even if these games have big crowds, which they won't (people are saving for the playoffs), the announced attendance will be more like 18,000 for these games. No way they'll come close to reaching 2 million this year. Won't matter though if we hang on and make it to October!

I have a half day in-service on the 28th, which will make getting to the ballpark in enough time markedly easier, so we decided to use my comped vouchers for that night. We'll be in Sec. 156, Row 13! Will it be a division clinching kinda night??? We shall see!

In the email, the Sox said the $3.50 credit card fee would be refunded after the game was played.

Is that $3.50 fee only so they have a credit card number on file for your tickets? I feel I was only given the choice for "Paperless tickets," couldn't even do the email and print way.

Yeah, I only had the paperless ticket option.

I don't quite understand that option, the one time I have used it in the past I had to go to Will Call to get the tickets printed out, anyway.

Found my email in the Spam folder.

I ordered and got this message:

You won't receive paper tickets for this event.

Your plastic gets you in! Cardholders simply present the credit card used for purchase at the gate along with a valid photo ID (driverís license, state ID, or passport). If you bought for a group, everyone must enter together. Tickets are non-transferable.

When they say "gate," do they mean we don't have to go to the ticket window to get actual tickets?

That's what I wonder, too, though I was at a show at the Aragon a while ago and we didn't have paper tickets the guy who fronted the money just had his credit card scanned at the front door and they let us in

I tried to search for tickets for Wednesdays game, but for some reason it will not accept my code. I am entering it correctly and capitalizing the correct letters. At this point in the game with the Sox mailing it in, I guess I will not worry about going.

When I went to the Sox game a few weeks ago with a paperless ticket I asked at the Gate 5 box and they told me to go to the main will call at Gate 4, where they printed out the tickets.

Having the same problem. I procrastinated on getting tickets until tonight. I thought the cutoff was 11:59pm, but it's not working now.

Yes. I was sent a follow up email today stating that I had until tomorrow at 11:59 to order them. I could probably find a better deal on Stubhub anyway, since I would need to buy 2 other tickets for the rest of the family.

Here's the answer about the paperless tickets:

When you come to the game, enter through one of our FanPass gates (there is a FanPass gate at each entrance at U.S. Cellular Field) and present the credit card in which was used to secure the tickets to the White Sox guest service representative like you would a ticket. Your card will be swiped and your tickets will be printed on the spot. It is fast and easy.
