If I remember correctly he kills the Sox. At least he won't have the chance Monday, Detroit put him on the 15 day DL.

One less Sox killer to worry about.

What is the purpose of putting someone one the 15-day disabled list in September? The Tigers haven't expanded their active roster to the full 40 allowed. The 60-day disabled list gives you some 40-man roster flexibility, but not the 15-day disabled list. Anyone the Tigers want to call up/activate to take Raburn's place could be called up/activated without the move.

I believe that by putting Raburn on the DL the Tigers can fill his post season roster spot with a player who was nto on the active roster as of 11:59 pm eastern on 8/31 if they make it to post season play.
