I think Gordon might be the infield version of BA.

If he could just hit .260-.270, with the defense he has, you would never consider taking him out of the lineup.

Alas, his bat is so streaky, and when he's cold, he's super-cold.

I would be happy with .250 with 10-15 homers and 60 RBIs with a better OBP.
He is on pace for 15 homers and is close to on pace for the ribbies.

That's an insult to Beckham- work ethic and at least hitting .230-240 with some big hits makes him miles better than BA.

Best part of Beckham's play was that his throw didn't result in another Konerko concussion.

I was going to say, he's on pace to hit around 15 or so, and will (hopefully) be in the 50s with RBI. One thing I have noticed about him is that within the past 1.5-2 months his eye has gotten a bit better in that he's striking out a bit less and taking more walks. I still wish that he'd get rid of that hitch in his swing, but that'll take time, I suppose. If he COULD get rid of that hitch, I bet that him hitting .250-.260 would be no problem.

Alas. :(

I just seem to remember seeing it live and they didn't show a replay on the big board at the Cell, and I had to wait to get home to see the replays.

From being at the games, what I've noticed is that if the play may have been a questionable call, it does not get a replay on the video board. Not saying that Iguchi's play was questionable.

Actually- I stand corrected- BA has a career OPS = .660, Beckhams is .690 so they are about the same so far.

I still think Beckham will turn it around-

That play by Gordon was Gold Glove worthy. :)
