New sign at Comiskey in the visitor's bullpen. Counting down to Dunn's 400th. Could not upload a pic of it.

While not a fan of the catchphrase, I like the gesture.

I don't remember a sign when Paulie was approaching 400.

There are no good puns for "Konerko."

There was a sign near first base counting down PK's quest for 400

Not to diminish Dunn's accomplishment, but 400 HRs is not a milestone worthy of a giant outfield banner--particularly when the guy in question has hit less than 10% of his homers for the Sox. If it was 500 HRs, maybe. If he was a career White Sox player, fine.

I think it's tacky and overblown. A discreet counter on a sidewall, similar to what they did for Konerko, seems much more appropriate here.

I don't know, there have been 17,000+ Major League ballplayers and there aren't even 50 yet that have hit 400 HR. So it's still kind of a big deal.

Regardless of how long he will be on the Sox, he will be one of the most talked about players for many years to come. He has a unique place in Sox lore.

Celebrate the man, its an impressive accomplishment and the Sox should be proud he will accomplish it in the white and black stripes.

 He hasn't been on the Sox long enough for me to have any particular affection for him. I'm glad he's doing well, and I like him enough, but he's still an outsider in my view. But maybe mine is a non-mainstream viewpoint, and if so, that's fine.

Anybody have a pic of the sign (or know of a video of it I can screencap)? My buddy is a huge Adam Dunn fan and I want to send it to him.

As a Sox fan I take pride in the organization's recognition of the personal milestone for the player - same way they did for Thome and PK when they reached theirs. I think it's classy (though I hate the phrase) and I hope Adam can do it at home in front of the fans.
