I remember watching that game on television at my grandparents house on Lake Michigan. But when I look at the photo, what jumps out at me is a rather embarrassing (for AP and the newspaper that printed it) mistake in the caption.

Let me guess. There shouldn't be a hyphen between "record" and "book?" I think they've also got the Twins catcher misidentified. Isn't Borgmann's first name Glenn not Lynn?

It was Glenn Borgmann.

I actually have the WFLD-TV video of the two home runs called by Jack Dress in my library.

The "Record-Book" thing hurts my eyes, but I noticed the Borgmann thing first because I tend to read the cutlines before the kickers. He was a rookie, though, called up only a couple of weeks earlier. Borgmann finished his career playing a few games for the White Sox, though, so that was easy to spot.
