Sox haven't announced rotation plans beyond Minnesota series. Sale will not start in Minnesota. Says nothing is wrong just going through a "tired arm."

Liriano starts Tuesday, Peavy starts Wednesday:

Part of the reason I assume the Liriano deal was made.

Also Kenny has an interesting quote towards the bottom of the story. Says if Danks is close to being shut down and to have surgery it's "news to him..."

Danks is having surgery this week. He's done for the year.

Don't have one.

But given who told me this information (And no, I didn't overhear this at the Dallas airport while KW was on his cell phone), I'd be shocked if it wasn't true.

Smart move. The Twins are garbage and we should be able to take at least 2 out of 3 without Sale.

Kennny called. He wants your definition of the word "surgery." He says there are some "semantics" here.

I gotcha. Well, I hope your source is wrong, that would really suck. :(:

Me too. I was really hoping to have Danks ready for September.

Disappointing if true, but given how long he's been out with no real progress, not really surprising.

Makes the acquisition of Liriano all the more important. Good to have the flexibility to mix and match Peavy, Sale, Quintana, Floyd, Humber, Liriano and Axelrod as needed to keep guys fresh and effective these last two months.

I pretty much knew Danks wouldn't be back when it was announced that he wouldn't make another rehab start. I'm hoping Liriano is this year's Contreras.

More importantly, what I am supposed to do with Sale on my fantasy team? If Sale getting a few days off from now to the end of the season and the Sox are in the playoffs who am I to criticize this decision? Let's hope Liriano can help eat some innings and get a few wins along the way.

It's really gonna suck when they'll have to start skipping Sale and Quintana.

Skipping our number one starter and we still have Quintana, Peavy and Liriano going in the series. Got to like that.

So Liriano's two most recent starts will have been against the Sox and Twins...huh. That's interesting.
