I get the jerseys because I have seen people wearing those but I don't think I have ever seen anyone wear an All Star Game hat. Couldn't they just make a Sox hat with an All Star patch on it and have the players wear that?

I actually got a Buehrle AS jersey from when Detroit hosted the game. Might get a Konerko one from this year.

I've always liked having "unique" jerseys.

The Sox were selling the All Star jerseys and t-shirts in the gift shop last weekend but I didn't see any hats.

Just for the money- but I think they typically look pretty ridiculous.

A big part of fans indentfication (especially the more casual fan) is the uniform- when they showed all the players on FOX before the game last night wearing their AL and NL uniforms I bet half he audience had no idea who each player was.
