2 years ago we just finished a round of golf at another golf course for an interclub match and were in the parking lot changing our shoes and a bolt struck a telephone pole about 100 feet away from us, one of the scariest moments in my life. I was wondering if there were any lightning warnings in the Dallas Ft. Worth area during the game , the PGA tour has a rule that if lightning is 10 miles away play is stopped and players and fans have to take cover. Does MLB have any rule like that?

Looks like they need a thunder buddy ("Ted" the movie).

I think they said it was directly above the field.

I love the Texas first-base coach's reaction though, hiding behind the umpire. The fans had some good reactions too.

Overall, an experience that everyone can laugh about, now that no one was hurt.

Maybe cloud-to-cloud. Anyway, they were all unlikely to outrun the thing.
