Quick question- does anyone know how long before the game that people are usually let into the ballpark? I can remember several times in the past 6-7 years that I've been in early enough to watch batting practice (even caught a BP home run ball once), but the last couple times I've tried to get there early I've ended up waiting in line until about 45 minutes prior to gametime before they start letting people in. Is there a consistent policy regarding this? Thanks.

90 minutes prior to the game, except for kids days, which is 2 hours.

My understanding was that we take BP a couple hours before the visiting team does. I've never seen the Sox take BP at home either in the 20+ years I've been going to games.

For a 7:05 game, the White Sox take BP at 4:45, visitors at 5:45. For a 6:05 game, White Sox BP is at 3:45, visitors at 4:45. For a 2:05 game, the White Sox take BP at 11:30, visitors at 12:30. For a 1:05 game, the White Sox take BP at 10:30, visitors at 11:30. For a 12:15 game, White Sox BP is at 9:40, visitors at 10:40. On certain days, the clubs do not take batting practice.
