What a man crush I have on this kid.

http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/blog/eye-on-baseball/19433315/video-mike-trouts-outstanding-homer-preventing-catch

Dude went about 3 feet above the wall tonight to rob a home run.

.335/.395/.923 line with 7 home runs and 21 steals in 52 games this year.

This guy is probably already a top 20 player in the game. Looks like a lock for 20/20 for the next decade and beyond. I would take him over anyone, including Harper if I was starting a team tomorrow.

He better find his way to Kansas City in two weeks.

The most amazing thing is that his team once had a great player named Salmon.

I'll never forget a game in 2003, Jon Garland pitching to Tim Salmon in Anaheim, long at-bat. Ed Farmer keeps asking things like "so he is going to throw Salmon a hook?" and "Salmon didn't take the bait on that one".

The AB ended with a big RBI double that cost the White Sox the game.

Fun fact: only two players whose last name is a type of animal have ever hit a home run in the World Series. Tim Salmon did it in 2002. Mike Lamb did it in Game 1 of the 2005 World Series.

Seattle also had a prospect named Carp last year, but I believe he washed up...

I don't think Carp was ever much of a prospect. He was always pretty crappie.

Of course, all these fish can be caught in Jason Bay.

Before it scales out of proportion, someone should put a 'Fin' sign on it.

Don't forget Benji Gil, Todd Fischer, Eddie Fisher, and Craig Swan among former Angels.... Swans do eat fish....
