I just spoke the the sox scout for Brennan. He said they have agreed to terms and he will be heading to Chicago tomorrow for his physical. Will sign contract Monday then head to Arizona for mini-camp.

Correct. Keon Barnum is in the lineup for Bristol, batting sixth and playing first base.

Of note, the person doing radio play-by-play for Bristol is absolutely the worst radio announcer I've ever heard in my life.

Example: "A shot! It's hit to Coste, and he maintains control... of the ball!"

In the bottom of the second inning, the Bluefield Blue Jays catcher lost track of the number of outs, and started to leave the field. What did our wonderful PBP man say, "And the catcher is headed toward the dugout because... he... though there were three outs, but... he... was quickly mistaken."

UCSB was SHOCKED when they heard this. He was not expected to get enough to sign and give up his scholly there. He told the Cardinals to not draft him in the fourth round because what they told him they'd give him was not going to be enough.

He's a long way from sniffing USCF - but certainly someone to watch as he moves through our system.
