Just in time for a crucial series with the Flubs.

Hope he knocks out two or three blasts and keeps the Cubs spiraling into oblivion.

Looks like the windows across the street on Waveland are gonna need some plywood, or a good glazier... Maybe they should hand out hard hats for the street traffic..

That's some fine baseball there: Padres and Cubs.

Oooh! A rematch of the 1984 NLCS! Should be a great series!

Well maybe Leon Durham will field that ball. Amazing how a fan and a goat get huge blame and a first baseman gets no mention.

Good luck Carlos, when you are on, damn you are impressive.

Why do the Cubs even bother showing up? They are an embarrassment to baseball.

Yup, he and Buckner were prime examples of an E-3 and wicket whoopsie.. Funny how he's avoided having to groom the goat...

Buckner at least had to move over a bit to field his grounder and he did so on incredibly bad knees. Durham's ball just went right through him. I have no idea how he missed that play.

Do you recall the "somebody spilled orange juice on my glove" story? Add Alex Gonzales to the forgotten goat list.

Him and his kids should pretty much make up the crowd.

Quentin with 3/4 of a cycle today, but flew out with the tying run on third to end the 8th.

Assuming he stays healthy the rest of the way, I'd bet any amount of money that Carlos will not be wearing a Padres uniform by July 31st trade deadline. It was a curious move for the Padres to get him in the first place but now that it is clear that the Padres are an awful ballclub, I think it is safe to assume they will shop him.

TCQ went 3-4 last night with 2 more homers. Through 6 games as a Padre, he's hitting .522 with 5 homers and a cool 1.346 slugging percentage.

That reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw in San Diego late in Garvey's career when such issues eroded his popularity: Steve Garvy is not my Padre.
