Poking around baseball-reference.com, I see Jake Peavy leads the AL in WAR (overall, not just for pitchers) at 2.9, 0.1 ahead of Josh Hamilton.

Gavin Floyd is tied for fourth - overall - at 2.0. He is tied for second among pitchers

I'd title this thread "Stat for the Day" but Lip has that trademarked, right? :tongue:

I don't think Lip considers WAR to even be a stat.
