While yesterday's Sox loss reminded me of an Ozzie-led team, I'll take that 100 times a day over this garbage

Unless yesterday's game happens 100 times more this season...I wholeheartedly agree.

Tony LaRussa would be proud.

Shocking, I know. It was inevitable that an Ozzie team would do this.

Imagine what it would be like if Ozzie was the Manager and Joe Mauer is the Catcher on the same team. Each inning would take five hours.

There are several reasons I'm glad Ozzie is gone. His insistence on inserting himself into the game and his overmanagement of the bullpen are among them.

Is it any wonder Guillen's bullpen always tanks in the second half? Even when his starter gives him seven innings, he typically uses four damn relievers to cover the last two innings. That wears guys out over 162 games.

I wasn't an Ozzie fan, but Ozzie used his bullpen less than just about any manager when he was with the White Sox.

FWIW, Heath Bell walked 4 today in the 9th and blew another game.

The Sox had four relievers last year average less than an inning pitched per appearance. Typically, you've got one LOOGY who fits that definition. Ozzie uses his whole bullpen as if they are LOOGY and ROOGYs. If you are a relief pitcher for Ozzie, rare is the day when you don't have to at least warm up at some point in the game. That takes its toll over a long season.

Jenks was right when he said Ozzie has no idea how to run a bullpen.
