So many amusing things about this video:

Fisk screaming at LaRussa
Mark "The Liar" McGwire chasing someone during the brawl
Jose "Steroids" Canseco fighting with Matt Murillo
The sterile appearance of New Comiskey
Dave Stewart screaming in the A's clubhouse

I have a hard time remembering a team comprised of more players with big egos than the Oakland Athletics under Tony LaRussa. Canseco, McGwire, Henderson, Stewart, Eckersley, and later Ruben Sierra. I don't know how Harold Baines put up with it.

And you didn't even mention Sosa's hilarious throw!

It cost the Sox a run. There was nothing funny about it.

Of note, if you pause the video at the 0:31 second mark, you can see Frank Thomas running towards the brawl, ready to enter the fray.

I was at this game. 10 years old.

Is this what led to Steinbach wearing the wrap-around face protector on his helmet?

It both instances he shows up in the reel, I love Rickey Henderson's passive aggressive, "I'm gonna hit someone (someone hold me back)" mode.

Anyone know who the reporter was busting Larussa's balls after the game?

Robert Glass, who passed away in 2006.

"Don't you ever bring your ass back in here!" :D::D:

Leave it to Dave Stewart to put things in their rightful perspective.:roflmao:

What can you say about LaRussa? He knew his players were using steroids, he did nothing about it because it wasn't against the rules and he was rewarded with 3 world series titles.

The cheesy early 90's synth music almost made me :puking:.

What can you say about LaRussa?

He's the biggest enabler that the game has ever seen, and everything that he has accomplished needs to be taken with a HUGE grain of salt.

That's what you can say about LaRussa.

And I think that's why he became so animated when Glass challenged him to "be a man." LaRussa knows he isn't one: he's a coward, and Glass' comment was a painful reminder of it.
