Beckham leading off and Rios 2nd. Wat?
Hmmmm. Well, if DeAza is off today...someone has to lead off.

Also: Pierzynski and De Aza both sit after homering yesterday?

Why isn't Fukudome leading off?

11:05 am CSN start tomorrow vs. Masterson, may be the reason for todays lineup.

EDIT: 38 degrees and raining in Cleveland

Is Gomez a lefty or righty??

I said I would never criticize Robin for a lineup ever, and I would be to Robin what Russ was to Ozzie so....

Hey...

I do agree, Beckham leading off seems an odd idea, but let's see how it works out. Fukudome's swinging the bat well, so why not try him in the middle of the order.

With this lineup I would like to see the tank a little higher in the order.

Ozzie trots out another Sunday lineup.

Gomez is a righty. Interesting lineup. Not sure about Fukudome batting behind Paulie. Not a whole lot of protection there. Rios in the 2 hole is an interesting idea though. A better option than Morel in my opinion.

Game's off, no mention of a reschedule yet. Tomorrow is on at 1PM EDT.

Scott Merkin ‏ @scottmerkin (https://twitter.com/#%21/scottmerkin) Tonight's game is postponed. Tomorrow still on for 12:05. More to come on http://whitesox.com (http://t.co/s0QgLseG)

Wow. I was waiting about 4 posts down for the order to be corrected as maybe it was posted incorrectly on twitter or whatever.

Robin is certainly not afraid to tinker and try new things. Beckham followed by Rios. Curious. This lineup reminds me of little league when our coach let us make our own lineup for a game.

Aha! No wonder, that was just Robin messing around. No way he would make that order for an actual game!

I think he knew the game was off before he made this lineup. I like his sense of humor.

Robin must be trying to get Gordon and Rios on track by putting them at the top of the order where they can see more fastballs.

Weird to rest AJ and De Aza vs. a RHP- maybe the early start tomorrow has something to do with it and with no LH starters until at least the Orioles series- this is the time to get Kosuke and Flowers in a game.

Well, they sure called that one early. Welp, that gives me three nights in a row, through Thursday, to take advantage of my Extra Innings preview without also multitasking and watching the Sox.

Reed just tweeted that it's snowing. There were some flurries during the Detroit game too.

I wonder if an expected sparse crowd had anything to do with it. When you're expecting only 7K, why not call it..

Yep. A rescheduled day-night or twi-night double header in June could draw way more than 7K. I'm sure the players and fans aren't complaining. 38 degrees and wet conditions is not a fun time at the park.

Danks to start Wednesday (weather permitting), humber loses start, will pitch Monday vs. Balt

The rain/snow is supposed to continue into tomorrow afternoon. Sox and Indians both have a day off Thursday--Sox are at home at 1pm Friday and Indians in KC 3pm. Any travel/schedule experts here? What are the chances of tomorrow's game being moved to a night game and/or maybe playing a day game Thursday?

The Tribe is a division opponent that we play frequently so I don't think they are going to try to cram a double header in April or reschedule an off day. If this were September maybe, but usually they just push these April ppd dates back into the summer.

Robin must have been listening to Big Frank on the post-game last night. He said he thinks Beckman needs to be put on the spot, that it's an ego thing.

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with a lineup shakeup.

The Sox have scored only 10 runs in four games. It's not likely to get any worse by trying something different.

I'm sure De Aza and Pierzynski will be in there tomorrow against a tough right-hander in Masterson. I wouldn't mind seeing them try Rios in the No. 2 spot. Morel certainly does not belong there.

If he was trying to be funny, he would have had Humber batting cleanup and Rios DH'ing for Konerko.

True. With Morel having 1 hit and 7 K's through 4 games, may as well make a change.
