Watching the Giants (my longtime favorite NL team) take on the D-backs on ESPN2. Lincecum gave up two homers in the first but has settled down since.

But the Giants have no offense so I expect the 3-0 scoreline to remain.

Cardinals beat the Brewers and the Yankees and Rays played a good game that ended with Carlos Pena hitting a walk-off single off Mo.

Three west coast games start at 9, including Pujols' Angels debut against the Royals.

Reminder to those with Comcast or DirecTV: Extra Innings preview through the 15th.

I love this Diamondbacks club. So many fun players to watch. The rotation has the potential to be fantastic. Bauer is going to be pushing out Collmenter or Saunders sometime this year too.

Anyone see Cespedes' bomb? 462 feet to center. What a home run.

Need a stronger word than blow. Nats plate 5 runs with 2 outs and nobody on.

I'd prefer "Marmoled". :D: LOL!

No matter the opponent, I'd like to see the Nats win this year. Fun team to watch and Bryce isn't far away.

16 innings for the Indians/Jays on Thursday.

12+ today.

Not a bad thing for the Sox going into Cleveland.

Tigers clobbered Beckett. Both Fielder and Miggy have 2 HRs today. Fun game to watch so far.

Are you getting this on your FOX? In Romeoville? In Oswego we're getting Brewers-Cardinals.

Did they say what happened to Fister that forced him out in the 4th?

Tigers announce Fister to DL with left costochondral strain (side). Calling up Brayan Villareal.

Cespedes with another shot, this time a 3 runner. Damn, would have been nice to get this guy. Maybe viciedo can live up to the hype

Can the cubs seriously give up another 9th inning lead?

Leading 4-1 in the ninth with two outs- it is now 4-3

Rays (my 2nd favorite team) sweep the Yankees. :bandance:

I must have been the only one not impressed with the Yankees SP coming in to the season. You have CC and then a bunch of question marks.

So which games are we watching tonight, in lieu of the Sox game?

I'm looking at the AL East matchups and Reds-Cards, plus peeking over to Feliz's first start when that's on.

Hrmm...

As you said, the starting debut of Feliz is interesting. Danny Duffy is later pitching for the Royals, but I have little desire to watch the A's.

Ivan Rodriguez officially retired in Texas tonight, and had a unique 1st pitch ceremony.

Kinda sad, one of the names I grew up with when I came to America. Never thought he would retire. Hated him as an opponent but he was really good.

Have a good post baseball career I Rod, you were awesome.

IRod is a sure-fire HOFer...first ballot. Tops in many categories offensively and was a great defensive catcher...fast also.

Chris Singleton on BB2Nite said his only weakness was his pitch calling...guess that is more of an art than science,eh?

Giants sweep Mets in a doubleheader in NYC, 7-1,and 8-2. Giants are also my favorite NL team, and good to see them crush the Mets.

Cepedes hammered a double off the wall vs the Sox last nite, the only truly well hit ball off of Jake all nite. Last nite, the impressive homer to center was Paulies....hang out all the drawers in cook county...wow.

Cepedes does look like a strong guy, lets hope the Sox keep that average right at .250.

AL East currently has a 4-way tie for first. Only the BoSox are left out.

He will make it on the first ballot which is too bad because the guy was unquestionably a juicer. In addition to being on the Texas Roiders and being named in Canseco's book (Canseco is a jerk but his first book has been pretty dead on) he dropped something like fifty pounds upon signing with Detroit (and the implementation of steroid testing) in 2004. As mentioned by Singleton, Rodriguez's pitch calling was abhorrent. Pitchers HATED throwing to him because he would always call for fastballs to increase his caught stealing rate.
