...on craigslist. I'm not the seller and not sure it belongs here but it probably is something that WSI readers would be interested in. They are selling a document from 1927 signed by J. Louis Comiskey which is kind of cool but his brief history of the Comiskeys and other Sox tidbits is what I really liked:

It says this document is from 1927 yet it refers to the Sox as "Worlds Champions." That would be a full 10 years after the 1917 championship. It seems likely, given the printing costs of the era, that getting new letterhead on a regular basis might be a prohibitive cost... but 10 years seems like a long time to still be referring to the team as world champs. I can't imagine the Sox still using the '05 World Series logo on documents in 2015!

Nice item but J Louis signed docs are not that sought after. Obviously if it was an earlier letter for Charles it would be worth several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on content and strength of the signature. Black Sox related topics always attract big dollars.
