And didn't we all have a real feeling that Jose was gonna hit into a dp? The only surprise was that it wasn't a 5-2-3 dp and that we were actually able to get a run in.

OMG, I think Procol posted an extremely similar post before. De ja vu. Jose has hit into big dp's this year though.
The one about Jose, not Royce.

One could save up a few stock posts with this bunch, couldn't ya?? For example:
"I have afeeling Howry is gonna walk this guy"
and there's always:
"Wells is gonna get shelled tonight.."
and who can forget
"Ray is gonna pop up with men on base"
:)

I forgot one of the most important ones, danman...
"Hey, the Sox are at .500 again--that must mean we're gonna get our buttocks handed to us tonight!"
:)

Hey Wh1teSox00--
What's the original reference for the Phil Ochs tune you use for your signature line?

They are all classics Procol!

Thanks, danman. As good Sox fans we know the value of keeping a sense of humor, eh? Particularly when the Grubs are in first place.

Esp. when the other team in Chicago(I don't feel like naming them now) is in 1st. That's obvious. I want to just scream at the top of my lungs right now. But I can't because I have people asleep at home and also curfue laws or something like that. This will have to do: AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Procol-
The actual song is "White Boots marching in a Yellow Land." The last line is the only one I...ummm...doctored. The three before it seemed to fit perfectly into the whole Sox-Cubs attitude. It's a little long but I like to keep the Ochs spirit of rebellion alive.

We all feel yo' pain--hundreds of thousands of silent screams sound from the throats of Sox fans all over the world, tonight. Some day there will be peace in the valley.

Thanks for the info. We are a well-read-and-listened bunch indeed, here at WSI. Wonder how many Grub fans would know Phil Ochs??

It would have to be via cyberspace, otherwise I fear there would be some sort of "walls of Jericho" effect that might lay waste to entire neighborhoods and suburbs....

My thoughts exactly.
It got worse. I had Joel Piniero starting on my fantasy team and he did great. Seattle's "great" bullen blew another one. I don't get the points for a win. This adds to the frustration. But a couple of proud milestones were just hit! This is my 200th post and Maggs just got his 100th HR! It eases my pain.
