Too bad. Always enjoyed watching him close games, even against us. Just a shame he hasn't been able to showcase his talent with a competing club.

Should have been traded a long time ago. Could have fetched a hefty return that might have been part of the young core that is now coming to fruition. Bad teams that are rebuilding don't need quality closers.

He started to look human last year but for a 3 year stretch there, he was one of the best closers in the AL. KC having a lot of injury trouble this Spring so far. They have now lost their starting catcher and their closer.

Tough break for the Royals. They'll need to rely on Broxton now.
