View Full Version : Trying to stay "out of the sun"

So I am planning to take my daughter to her first Sox game on 5/26 which as it stands is 3:10pm start. I plan to by lower level seats and would prefer not to sit down the lines or under an awning, so the question is would RF or LF be considered more "out of the sun" or neither...neither right?... I remember going to a 6:10pm game once and standing on the Fan Deck and just getting blinded. What are your recommendations on seating location?

If you're trying to stay out of the sun buy on the 1B/RF line side of the stadium. You'll be in the shade for a 3:10 game. Any earlier you might be in the sun for some of the game, but eventually the shadows creep and the 1B/RF side is the first to get shade in the park.

Hope that answers your question.

The sun sets behind the 1st base line so Left Field is where the sun is bad. I'm not sure about a 3 o'clock game, but I know the sun is tough to deal with in the left field seats for most 6 o'clock starts.

Go with RF Lower Box Row 27 or so and up and you'll be out of the rain and sun.
