He retired over seven years ago. I'd imagine they're pretty stale by now.

It's nice to see he has the Sox jersey on in those cookies.

Enjoy your retirement, JD! To one of my all-time favorite Sox players!!:gulp:

Those cookies look good! I have never seen player cookies. But, at Jewel I did see Sox jersey cookies around opening day sometimes.

JD was one of my favorites from that 2005 team. I could see him doing something like coaching or working in the community during his retirement.

Well done. That was pretty cool of his wife to do. And yes, Dye's biggest accomplishments were in a Sox uniform.

We might have a managerial spot open around 2015 - Only qualification is that you've already played for us so we don't have to buy any new uniforms.

It's too bad J.D. didn't want to DH. I think he had at least 3 more quality seasons left in him as a hitter. It was his legs that were betraying him playing the field.

The best part? They won't even have to change the number. Just take the "Ventura" nameplate off, put "Dye" on, and voila, instant manager!

I bet he'd do much better than Dunn. Come back, JD!
