I think he was bailing on that organization, and environment. Then again, 10 years is a long time these days.

I'm already tired of him. Wait until the first time the Cubs have a three game winning streak. You think it was bad when the Trib owned the team?

I can see his reasoning. He left after 1 late season collapse. Do that again, and people in Boston would have run him out of town. Late season swoons and early playoff exits are the norm for the cubs. He will be able to have a long career here.
