Remembering that Frank is coming off of major surgury last season, what are your feelings on JR invoking the Diminished Skills Clause in Frank's contract?

why not? it is not like he had a career threatening injury last year.

he should be allowed to keep his full salary, IMO. he has done a hell of a lot for the city of chicago and the white sox.

What about this option?

"Jr will never invoke the clause because he is the head ass clown in the circus that we call white sox baseball. "

So we'll put you in the "Should be invoked but won't be" category?

I voted to make it accurate. I have deeper views though. :)

The problem is Frank is have a horrible year, but there are flashes of his former greatness. His preformance doesn't appear to be caused by a lack of physical skills, but by a bad mental approach. He is lost at the plate this year. If in the off season, Frank works that out, he will be putting up big hurt numbers again and be cheap at 10 million dollars (under the current CBA). Also JR should wait till the CBA situation is figured out, because that might make it a lot cheaper to keep Mags, and Konerko which should factor into JR's thinking.
