Every visiting team will wear throwback uniforms. The White Sox will either wear 1981 or 1982 road uniforms because of the Fisk connection. The Red Sox are leaning towards the 1982 ones.

They are also pushing this book which is a little overpriced at $75

SI also has this on sale nationwide starting this weekend

I would love to see the White Sox bring out the old collared uniforms from 1981.

Not me, I hated those uniforms.

I wasn't around when they wore them but from the pictures I have seen they don't look too great but I have seen them wear their '83 uniforms a couple of times. I would like to see them "throw back" to a uniform I haven't seen them wear.

Oh, please don't give the Cubs any ideas about 2014!

I have the feeling we're never going to hear the end of this from ESPN.

Despite my cynicism, I know I'll be watching!

You can hate the Red Sox but you have to admit the park has a lot of history.

Red Sox got a rude shock today. Usually when tickets go on sale people are in the virtual waiting room for hours - not today as you could go right in.

The fanbase is angry - perhaps even more so then during the strike in 94-95.

I actually do love the park. The tradition is outstanding, I love the location next to Kenmore Square, and I even love the fact that scenes from The Town were shot there and the flea bag Howard Johnson's I've stayed at on Boylston Street. It's just that SOME Sawks fans do drive me crazy!

A Boston columnist speaks the truth

Fenway is a dump

Beloved band box? Bah!

Plenty lacking from ‘Fenway experience’

I hope they wait a little bit on any rebuilding I gotta check it out first after I do my visit of every ballpark. After you can demolish it or whatever I give you permission

As would any building that's 100 years old.

The east coast media has never had any respect for anyone outside of their little world (except for the Cubs, maybe) so **** 'em. And **** ESPN and Sports Illustrated.

It will be telavised on ESPN, and I hope an earthquake hits and implodes that dump and then has a aftershock to blow up Wrigley.:praying:

I've heard (Brooks?) say that they'll never wear the late 70's collared uniforms. I personally love them, but the players absolutely hate them.

That is the reason Boston most likely go with 82. I think we can all agree the most memorable Chicago-Boston game at Fenway was Fisk's first game in Boston on Opening Day 1981.

Game 3 of the 2005 Divisional Series was certainly pretty memorable.

Indeed, the Red Sox sure have received the short shrift lately.

Me too. They might have to interrupt a special documentary about Tim Tebow to bring the entire game live.
