No way the Yankees let him walk. They'd have to be downright insane (or CC has to ask for waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much...okay, nevermind, this is the YANKEES) for them to let him go.

Not a chance.

EDIT: looks like someone beat me to it.

Look, a free agent! Boston should sign him and Albert Pujols and Prince Fielder and maybe dig up Joe DiMaggio and put him in right because it's Boston, why the hell not!

He's not even really a free agent. Sabathia can opt out if he wants, but as he is set to make $23 million for each of the next four seasons, I doubt that he does.

Sabathia is in a nice win-win position. He already has his ring and enough money to last him 3 lifetimes. He could do whatever he wants, and I don't think he wants to go to Boston anyway.

He'd be stupid not to, imo. Since the top starter on the market is CJ Wilson, and the big payroll teams (including Texas) are desperate for pitching. He's going to get a nice raise to probably end up re-signing with NYY similar to what A-Rod did a few years ago.

Leave me out of this. Jaimie hates Boston.

Lot of people wondered if he'd ever actually want to go to New York a few years ago, either. I have a feeling C.C. will want to end up going wherever he is offered the biggest bag full of money.

Bingo! You're absolutely right. I'd be shocked if he does NOT opt out.
