Here's hoping it's not the last HOF he gets inducted into.:gulp:

Sox HOFer for sure, not so sure if he'll have a shot at the MLB one. His recent AS appearances should help, but he only has two top-10 MVP seasons. #6 in 2005 and #5 in 2010. He'll hit 400 homers early next year, but it might take him another contract to hit 500. If he averages 30 per year, he'll have to play at least 3.5 more seasons.

He's also a lifetime .282 hitter. That will have to keep climbing up. He's also never led the league in a hitting category besides GiDP in 2003 (not a category you want to lead in).

The only HOF player he's currently "similar to" is Orlando Cepeda:

Maybe PK will just take care of it and win the MVP next year. That would bump him up to 1.69 MVP shares and give him a much better shot at the HOF.

Actually 3. I had to click the link to find out what AFL meant (I was pretty sure it didn't mean American Football League but it was all I could think of). Of course I know of the AFL and if you told me some Sox prospect was going to be in the AFL, I'd figure it out fairly quickly, but I wouldn't associate Paulie with the AFL anymore than I would expect to play in it myself...

I think the HOF for the AFL is mostly a way to try and up the attendance. At every AFL game I've been to, the attendance is typically < 100 people.

The fact that if he finished out his career in this contract he will end up in the top 30 hr hitters of all time and top 50 rbi producers of all time and have over 2300+

which would put him as one the top 10 or 15 offensive 1B of all time gives me hope :)
