Voters for the Gold Glove awards will be required to vote for two corner outfielders, for the first time in 50 years.

I never understood why they don't just pick one LF, one CF and one RF. It's not like they pick four random infielders.

When I saw the thread title, I thought the rule would be "you cannot take into consideration the batting stats of a player and to give serious thought if you're at all tempted to vote for Derek Jeter."

Or any other player who has a low number of errors simply because he has no range and makes all of the routine plays.

Yep. I also think they took Chavez over Crede one year with similar circumstances. Chavez was hurt for half the year and still won it if I remember correctly.
