8th time this year Sox have won a game when trailing in the 7th inning or later (They've lost 12 where they led in the 7th or later...)

Seven more wins for a winning season (unfortunately there are only eight games left...)

Let's hope next year is a complete reversale. This team has pretty much stunk all year.

I would have preferred giving up the win to just go out there drillling any Indian batter who stepped into the batter's box.

This has been a problem for the Sox throughout Ozzie's tenure as manager.

Still waiting on the retaliation against that evil Vincente Padilla.

Ozzie talks big on this type stuff but when it's time to put up or shut up, he's nowhere to be found.

In this case he's a fraud.

Buehrle will hit someone in his last start, right before he finishes his 200th inning for the season. He will be ejected and his season milestone will be lost. I'm calling it now.

Here's your TBGR (http://www.whitesoxinteractive.com/rwas/index.php?category=4&id=4218) for both games.

I'm not one who normally screams for retalliation when Sox hitters get drilled, but this is ridiculous. This isn't Carlos Quentin refusing to move off the plate and letting a pitch hit his forearm. Josh Judy is the same guy who broke Lillibridge's hand. I doubt he was trying to intentionlly hit Beckham and Ramirez (and I doubt Putnam was trying to hit Konerko earlier) but the only way Indians' pitchers will be more "careful" with their location is if Sox pitchers start burying fastballs into Sizemore's or Hafner's or Santana's respective rib cages. I would suspect that the Indians' batters would then stress the importance of better command to Messers Putnam and Judy:

Hafner to Judy after getting drilled in the ribs by Sale: "[gasp] Look *******, you better think about where your pitches are going next time before [cough, gasp] I get hit again by a 97 mph fastball."

I wouldn't leave it to Buehrle. He doesn't throw hard enough to send the appropriate painful message.

That's ****ing ridiculous! MLB should start fining teams. I know...can't control the rookie pitchers. But Damn It! Something has to change.

Tigers have only been HPB 34 times, least in the league.
Sox have been HBP 82 times, most in the league.

I think it goes back to opposing pitchers not respecting the Sox ability to make them pay. Lack of hitting with men on base means the Sox will not make them pay, while the Tigers do make them pay with good hitters.

Sox should have set a new tone coming out of spring training...protect your hitters!
