The St. Louis series is during the week? What idiot made up that schedule.

We finally have a home series against the Brewers and it is a weekend too. Surprised to see the crosstown series Mon, Tuesday, Wednesday again. Probably another three night games.

I wanted to go to this series so badly and I was praying it would fall on any week but the one they chose. I'm going to be out of town for family reasons that week and am going to miss the entire series.:whiner:

I will be there for all 3 games. Have been waiting for this for awhile

The May schedule makes no sense.

1-3 Cleveland
4-6 at Detroit
7-9 at Cleveland
11-13 Kansas City
14-15 Detroit
16-17 at LAA
18-20 at Cubs
22-24 Minnesota
25-27 Cleveland
28-30 at Tampa Bay

You can guarantee that May 17 will be a night game, as the Angels are pricks about that. Would be really ****ty if the Friday game at Wrigley is a day game (is there a rule about how much time a team must have to travel?).

10-game road trip coming out of the All-Star break again, with only 9 home games the entire month of July. Makes up for only 5 games outside of Chicago from May 11 through June 10.

At least we don't play the Red Sox and Yankees back-to-back at any time during the season.

Yeah, that 2-game road trip to Anaheim is a head scratcher.

Overall, I can't complain about the schedule too much.

Tigers have the Yankees, Red Sox, Angels, and Rangers 10 games each.

The Sox also only have one off day while on the road, which is probably a good thing for the players.

Sox are playing two exhibition games in Houston, April 3rd and 4th.

Makes sense, since they're opening in Arlington.

(is there a rule about how much time a team must have to travel?).

It's covered in the CBA, but the MLBPA has made exceptions to it to allow all games in Arlington be night games to avoid playing in the afternoon heat, and they have made many other exceptions as well to placate MLB national broadcast contracts.

It would appear that if they are moving Houston or Arizona to the AL that won't happen now until 2013, and I assume the five postseason teams from each league won't happen till then as well.

been waiting for the Cardinals series as well since I live in Central Illinois.Going down with a Cardinals fan or 2 so I'm hoping they don't embarrass me.I can see next years team being anywhere from competitive to terrible.Cardinal fans are pretty classy,I have represented the Sox gear down there many times.Common enemy,Scrubs. My sis lives next to Texas ballpark so thinking about that one too.Anyway,is there any way all of us Sox fans can meet down in St. Louis from this forum? That would be great.

Yeah i have no idea how they concoct the interleague schedule.Seems like we play the Dodgers every year, the Nat's.But this years schedule is awesome.should be playing the Cardinals every year and Brewers.

Seriously. Looks like I'll be making two trips to LA, one for the Angels series and one for the Dodgers series.

Not sure why they're ending on a Wednesday...and October 3rd at that.

On one hand, they could have just as easily started a week earlier, or just the Monday before as they usually did up until this year.

On the other hand, hopefully this will be a deterrent to expanding the playoffs until they move a team to the AL.

As much as people don't want to believe it, MLB doesn't want the World Series going into November. Having the season end on October 3rd and expanding the playoffs would almost guarantee it spilling into November. if they mirror this year's postseason schedule next year, Game 7 will be October 31st, so any expansion will mean November baseball. So, don't do it, Bud.
