I don't think Walker is coming back but at this point he is only part of the problem. Ozzie and Kenny need to go too.

I've been a big anti-Walker guy, but I would agree...I think he is a small, small part of the problem.

I think that it is time for new hitting coach but as others have posted, Walker is just part of the problem.

Thanks Mr Walker for your efforts for the Sox over the past years but please move on.

If he can somehow convonce Dunn and Rios to follow him wherever he goes, it would not be a bad thing.

Von Joshua's available. The Cubs let him go as the AAA hitting coach. Hitting coach is a scapegoat-in-waiting job.

The Sox already fired Von Joshua. They used to have a new hitting coach every year.

Let's not forget that the crux of the Sox woes in 11' was the failure of the offense... If it's not Walker's fault, and he's done all he can....

then how do you go about improving in 12'... ??

The pro-Walker contingent has been curiously silent.. Shouldn't the hitting coach AT LEAST be considered as part of the problem? If not, then all the hitters on Sox with the exception of Paulie and Alexei must be replaced. For if it's not the hitting coaches fault, then the remaining hitters must be flawed and replaced immediately in order for anything to change.

And where are all of these players whom reportedly have praised Walker? I've rarely heard any of them come out and publicly laud him. And if he was under fire, you would think they would spring to his defense

Yeah, Walk's time is up, but he isn't alone in that regard.

Didn't think I needed to spell that out, but it has been a while. As I was saying, they're scapegoats-in-waiting. So Walker is here because JR is too loyal and Dwayne Wade ripped JR because he's not loyal enough. Different sport, I know. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown.

I really doubt Walker is "deciding" if he is going to come back. He can say that publicly, to save face when he does not come back, so he can say it was his idea. But there is no way he will be offered a contract.

The only way he would have a chance to return in 2012 is if it is not up to KW, meaning KW is gone. And that would be a very, very good thing.
