You're doing yeoman's work, Lip. :D:

Biggest bummer for me on a completely selfish personal level...Buehrle's on my fantasy team. It's the first round of the playoffs. He was one out from snagging a quality start. 5.2 IP, 2 runs, and then the 2-run bomb shot that to hell.

Did anyone snag an extra green nacho batting helmet?

Addison Reed's stuff is awfully filthy, but still needs a little more polish. He made Santana look extremely silly on that changeup.

Halfway to St Patrick's Day? After this season I wish we were all the way there already.

I hope the team can make some changes to improve next year. This year was over in May. Otherwise I hope Konerko can get hot and get to his 400 homers this year. It is hard to care about meaningless September games.

Most disappointing/apathetic season of my "fanhood" (since 1971)-fewest games I've ever been to in a season (2)- nice to see some of the energy the new guys have brought, but Lillibridge, De Aza, Humber and Flowers are all deep into their 20's so not really "young prospects" at this stage- I'd be a little more optimistic if we didn't have the Peavy/Dunn/Rios/AJ contracts in 2012- 2011 seems like it's going to last until at least Opening Day 2013 maybe 2014 with those contracts.

That's the thing- normally I'd still like to go to/watch games in September to see the call ups or just enjoy fall (especially day) baseball- between the bloated long term contracts, the b.s. drama from Ozzie and KW, and the dearth of young prospects (excluding Viciedo and a few pitchers)- it's hard to even get interested at that level.

Even out "call ups" are kind of old-

Axelrod- 26, Kinney- 32, Lindsay- 26, Flowers-25, De Aza- 27.

I'm worn out from watching the 2011 White Sox. I love 'em but they're killing me this year.

The sweep in Detroit knocked me out. I wasn't expecting the SOX to sweep, however we absolutely needed 2 of 3 to stay in the race. The Saturday night walk off win for the Tigers followed up by the Sunday night, nationally televised, trouncing was enough for me.

This by far has been the most emotionally up and down season I've experienced as a fan.

I agree with everything you said, especially the last sentence.

I sure hope Sox management gets how disappointed we are. I feel like there is a huge disconnect between the Sox and the fanbase. Too much drama on the Southside again this year and, more importantly, not enough Sox wins.

As for Buehrle, he had a bad night last night. Despite this, I do not want him to leave and am dreading the day when I hear that Mark Buehrle is no longer a member of the Chicago White Sox.

Care? Enough to watch for entertainment, but not enough to post after a loss.

Hard to care when Sox management doesn't.

They care about loyalty more than performance excellence.

That's the million dollar question isn't it?

What will JR do and when? (Guess that's two questions :D:)

Sox fans by and large want some accountability for the past five seasons, I don't think it's the 'pound of flesh' attitude as opposed to 'something must change to make the team better' attitude.
