Crede ended his career with the Twins. He's dead to me.

Yes, I'll be there. Odd for the Sox to issue a press release about it, though.

Nice to see Crede and the Sox kiss and make up after the way things ended for him here.

They only ended that way because Crede has an ******* for an agent.

I had somehow managed to forget that, thanks.:tongue:

Anyway, this is great, I'm happy to see him welcomed back.

I got my picture taken with him at Soxfest '05 and then the Sox won it all. Perhaps we can have a repeat performance.

The Sox tried to give him a good deal with the uncertainty of his back. He didn't make the smart decision and listened to his greedy agent.

My favorite player from the '05 team. Too bad that back and agent acted up.

I never thought anyone could replace my all-time favorite Sox player Harold Baines. Joe Crede, however, did and became my new favorite Sox player in 2003!

Great to hear he is coming back

Even with the bad back he can probably outhit Dunn.

I am very happy to hear this. I have hoped for some time that Crede and the Sox would reconnect. Joe was a very special part of the 2005 WS Champions and I would like to see him with the Sox again, perhaps in a coaching capacity or even as a scout.

One of my favorite parts of the Sox opening montage is when it pauses momentarily over Crede's jersey and a illuminates his name. This brings a smile to my face every time I see it.

Of course he'll be there! That's our new hitting coach for 2012! (half pink, half teal, half normal)

He would have been the 2005 World Series MVP if whoever decides on that award would have actually watched all four games.

I thought for a long time he should have won the award, but Dye had better numbers, including the series-winning hit, so he was just as worthy.

Baseball is not an offensive sport.

Then it seems like Juan Uribe should have been MVP

Yes, though I've gotten a new camera since 2005. The picture I took of you guys was taken on 35mm film! :o:

I wonder if Crede will be signing his regular, good-looking signature or his shortened, FU signature.

:rolling:

My favorite FU signature is AJ's. He's got a great one when he's in the right mood.

He's always signed well for me at scheduled events, but I think he gives the bad sig when people are trying to grab him during "unscheduled" times.

Again?! Damn it! They nearly priced me out of this event last year! I've been to every SoxFest since 1993 and would like to continue going, as it's how I get through January. But if they keep raising the prices, SoxFest veterans and newbies alike will no longer be able to attend. Quit ruining a good thing, White Sox!
