Looking at Baseball Tonight's new set, it looks like they're trying to copy MLB Network. The backdrop on this new set sure beats the pants off the old one.

Was watching it the night Thome hit his 600th and it took a mention for me to notice. And yes, it looks like they are taking a cue from MLB Network.

It looks quite similar to MLBN. Now, if only the actual material was similar to MLBN.

I haven't seen Baseball Tonight in ages. Thank you MLB Network.

ESPN is still broadcasting baseball news?

Agreed, I try to avoid it. I only flipped it on to see the set. Apparently they have Jamie Moyer doing analysis now, in case you were wondering what he was up to.

Ditto.

If it involves NY or Boston, yes.

If it involves NY or Boston, yes.Unfortunately, MLB Network has been drifting in that direction as well.

I haven't noticed this...

But I only watch quick pitch for the most part and that's just highlight after highlight.

Games of the week all seem to be decently diversified.

Me neither. Their highlights hardly ever start with Boston or NY. Like so many have posted already, thank you MLB Network!

If only my cable provider, WOW, would put it on!

I am happy about my switch from RCN to U-Verse for many reasons, but unfortunately at the price point I'm willing to pay RCN offered MLBN, but U-Verse does not.

I haven't noticed much of a shift into covering only the Yankees and the Red Sox, what I have noticed is more of a shift into personality driven coverage which provides very little information. That is why guys like Kevin Millar and Sean Casey are on the network. The only thing that those guys seem to be capable of covering are guys hair styles.
