Today in the Tampa Tribune they had a blurb on how Carl Crawford was booed yesterday by Bosox fans for striking out 4 times and going 0 for 6 in the DH against the Rays. He's batting .251 this year, far below what is expected of him but .251 is superstar status on the White Sox compared to Dunn and Rios.

While I'd love to have Carl Crawford on our team, I don't know of any feasible way he'd end up on the Sox.

The Boston fans I know talk about how lost he looks at the plate sometimes, and they question his baseball acumen. Crawford really should be Tim Raines 2.0, but he can't seem to get over the hump for some reason.

Maybe Peter Gammons should write an article about how it's the atmosphere and the attendance at Fenway that is causing this.

One Boston writer was worried this would happen

It's just as well. He would probably end up hitting under .250 in mid-August, and fans would point to that as evidence that Greg Walker needs to be fired.
